Summary:
The Metal Lead Guitar method consists of three book/CDs -- a Primer, a Volume 1, and a Volume 2 -- each packed to the gills with licks, concepts, tricks, and music to hone your technique. It guides you to a professional playing level, teaching the techniques used by players like Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Kirk Hammett, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Jerry Cantrell, Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhoads, and others. But the main focus of this method is not copying licks, but developing solid playing technique and musicianship, and to launch you on the path to creating your own lead style.

The Primer is written for the beginning player and rises to an intermediate level -- appropriate for starting Metal Lead Guitar Volume 1. In fact, it actually covers as much ground as other so-called "complete" methods!

Its 98 licks and examples are all demonstrated on the accompanying CD, along with two full-band solo jams, "Slow-Note Terror" and "Mistakes?!? Off With Their Heads!!!," in which you echo, or trade licks, with Troy’s pre-recorded lead tracks.
