Alright, on exercise 67, it doesn't mention how to keep the 17 from ringing out after you are done hitting it.

For example, let's say I do the 15h18p15, then go to G string to hit 17. Then after I'm done with hitting the 17 and go back to hitting the 15, the 17 will ring out as an open string?

How do I go about muting this? How would Troy Stetina recommend to do it? Left hand? Right hand? or what. Thanks

Hi,

Next time please also write which book you are referring to. (Speed mechanics, ML1, ML2 etc.)

You can do both: right OR/AND left hand. (Of course doing both is the best.)
With the right hand, you have to mute the G string when you go back to the B string.
With the left hand, your index finger can mute the G string, touching it lightly.
Using only one of these techniques will probably solve the problem, but I recommend using both at the same time.

Decide.
