Anybody here using MI press books?
I've just bought Ultimate technique and Basic blues guitar, they're good enough. Nice to mix it into my practice routine.
Now I warm up with Speed mechs one day, then using Ultimate technique the other day.

Worth checkin' out!

Hey mate,

Yeah ive got a bunch of them. I find that a lot of them seem really good, although I have to say Ive used them mainly for things like learning scales, modes, chord progressions and theory but some of the musical examples seem pretty unmusical (I can only really appreciate many of them because of understanding the theory....but to my ear they sound showy but lacking emotion)

the Blues rock guitar one is pretty cool tho...good examples etc.

For my money the musical examples in Troy Stetina's books are far better than in the MI press ones. Its nice to learn the whole tone scale but its much nicer to hear an example which makes you think 'I would actually choose this scale for making music rather than simply showing off'
