I'll do em one at a time... Summer Sanitarium Lineup: Metallica Limp Bizkit (kill me now) Linkin Park (KILL ME NOW) Deftones (i'm glad i'm dead now) Mudvayne (reincarnate me and kill me again) Each of the top three (lp, lb, metallica) will have full headlining length sets. personally i hate fred durst and linkin park has always sucked. with metallica its sad because i though they had one shred of artistic integrity but now i see thats not true.

Now for ozzfest.... the official is not up yet but i'm interested and excited to hear what they choose. heres some of the likely bands.... Headliners: Ozzy Or Sabbath (it really could go either way) Second Headliners: (most likely due to albums releases and other tour commitments) Marilyn Manson or ANTHRAX!! the rest of main could go either way BLS is very likely to open once again. i hope at least.

This is an interesting situation because for once it seems if Ozzfest decides to take the Nu-metal route and book the likes of manson or korn they are going to lose pretty badly to Sanitarium. i'm hoping (oh god i'm hoping!) that this means ozzfest takes a better route this year and books the best possible metal bands they can. Anthrax is actually a very good probability. and i hope to see them. Its kind of an interesting situation. If Sharon plays her cards right we could see a true battle of Metal between Nu Versus Older (not so crappy) Metal. i cant wait to see how this unfolds. plz tell me your opinions on it, which one you might plan on attending, and your wishlist for ozzfest. and which is likely to end up the more solid tour.

I'd prob go2 both dependin on the dates & venues, coz Donnington ain't that far from me, so I'd prob go2 whichever is there. On a different but interestin note, in the UK there's a Monsters of Rock tour happenin in March I think it is, with Whitesnake headlinin & Gary Moore, what's goin off there then?

that will kick ass with Whitesnake's new line-up - Reb Beach and Doug Aldrich on guitars, the legendary Tommy Aldridge on drums! Is Gary Moore actually going to play rock again? I'd like to see that. Or is he doing another generic blues thing at the festival?

Got no idea about the Gary Moore thing I just saw an advert in a Sunday Paper about it all. So whitesnake has a decent musician with them then-the drummer. The only person that came close 2 Aldridge is Mr.Powell & he's dead.

200 posts since april 01?? that's like a post every 3 days. i guess this makes me oldskool. i only joined b/c of that Beethoven masterclass. (which nowadays i can play along with a classical piano cd until the huge diminished arpeggio about 3 minutes in. (pianists play that part waaaay fast imo). and then the coda-- well forget about it. i picked up the piece last summer after my girl ditched me.. but that's getting really off topic.... sorry for rambling and basking in the light of my 200th post. (not really :grin

I really like Metallica but why do they have to go on tour with such sh*t bands as those. Metallica are metal but the others are just crappy metal. Some things puzzle me. I would choose Summer Sanitarium but Id be pissed at having to sit through that sh*t to see Metallica

Ya'll act like this is something new Metallica is doing. they have always gone out and toured with the biggest acts of the time. They toured with Ozzy when they were supporting MOP, they toured with GnR in support of "The Black Album", and after that they proceeded to tour with Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and other alternative bands. And in 2000 on the first Sanitarium tour the went out with S.O.A.D., PM5k, Kid Rock, and Korn. I understand if you don't like who they are touring with (because I sure as h*ll
don't) but I don't get how you didn't see it coming.
