These forums were down for over a year... sorry. What happened was, first my old webhost changed servers and broke the board. Then I changed webhosts, so all the permissions were wrong to boot. Since I'm not smart enough with that sort of thing and had no webmaster at the time, there it sat.
Well, finally I found someone who knows about these sorts of things and has the board working again! Thanks, Gavin!
There is a lot of great information here, with perspectives given by many experienced and developing players. So I'm very happy to finally have it all available again. Please use the SEARCH function before you ask a question, since in most cases it has probably already been asked and answered.
Also, keep in mind that while I will try to check the boards from time to time, I may not get to every question personally.

2. Second, try the search function on this board, as your answer most likely has already been addressed in a previous thread. So if you are looking for advice on picking technique, for example, search for 'picking'.
Then, if you want to post something on this message board that isn't covered, or you want to comment on some aspect of the advice (like further clarification), please feel free! That's what it's here for.
We just want to par down on the repeater type questions... people asking the exact same thing that has already been answered elsewhere.
